Being 19 Months Old

It's fun being 19 months old. I really like to play in the rain, especially after taking my clothes & diaper off by myself (& running outside before Momma can catch me! hehehe) I get tickled at Betsy when she runs all around the backyard chasing balls. I also am learning lots & lots of new words lately. This week, I've especially discovered the word "pee pee". I say it when I see Riley pee in the yard, when I get my diapers out, & even at the grocery store when I see a box of Pampers. I'm also learning lots of other words too....too many to name right now. It's so fun saying all these words now! I have 2 friends with names that start with "E", so I'm working on that sound too. And, I'm working hard on saying "umbrella" after seeing it alot this week.

Daddy is teaching me to say "please", "thank you", & "excuse me" (but I say "bless you" for that instead). I'm also really fascinated with sounds, especially when an airplane or helicopter flies by or when I hear a lawn mower. And, I have a new ABC puzzle that I'm getting good at (& can say "ABCD" & some other letters too).

It's been fun talking long walks with Momma in the mornings this week. I can walk a long way now! And, we like to feed the ducks too. I also really love going to Gymboree. The airlog & "Freeze" song are some of my favorites there. Oh, also I like the part at the end of class when the teacher gives us all stamps on our hands, feet, & belly. This week, I even taught myself how to do a somersault. I've had the first part down for awhile (leaning over with my head on the ground & bottom in the air)....so this week I just pushed off & before I knew it my feet flipped over my head. It's so much fun! Oh, & when Daddy gets home from work, I like to take his shoes & socks off of him & put them on my feet.

It's Daddy's birthday today. We're going out to eat for supper, so I better rest up. Love, Davis

A Great Week With My Cousins

Whew! What a weekend & week! It has been so much fun for all of us with Natalie & Isabella here to play with.

Monday was a "rest" day......Momma worked in the afternoon, & I pretty much slept & slept & slept (catching up from the busy weekend & gearing up for 2 more days with my cousins). I had a record long 4 1/2 hr nap on Mon! But, I still squeezed in some playtime with Connie. She even gave us a treat & brought her granddaughter over to play with me too. (Madeline is just a little bit older than me.)

Tuesday, Momma & I spent the whole day with Grandpa Mel & the girls. We went swimming in the morning & then ate lunch together & all took naps. Then, we went to the mall & played in the children's area & also went crazy in the indoor "Inflatable Wonderland". I wasn't too sure about it at first, but after I saw my cousins jumping all around & having fun.....then I joined in on the fun & bounced & jumped & slid all over everything too! I had so much fun but was also exhausted. I went straight to sleep last night & slept for a record 13 hrs.

Today, Momma & I met Grammy & the girls at Barnes & Noble for storytime. It was a special treat to have some people bring in 3 greyhound dogs & talk about dog safety. Then we got to color & look at lots of books. Grammy spoiled us & bought us each some books too. My new books are about the desert, good manners, & growing up & learning to go in the potty. Oh, & Momma bought me a Blues Clue cool book too. After lunch & naps, we met them again at Momma's cousin's Glen & Janell's house to play with their kids. They have 5 kids, so they have LOTS & LOTS of toys & fun things at their house. Timothy is only a few months older than me, so we got to know each other better, & he shared all his toys with me. Isabella & Natalie LOVED playing with all of Amy's dress up clothes & princess stuff. Andrew was nice to show us how all the toys worked....& we even got to see the teenage girls' cool air hockey table! We even got to see my great Aunt Janiece too.

Well, the girls go home tomorrow. I'll miss them. We had so much fun together!

Children's Museum, Cousins, & Church

Whew! We've been busy having loads of fun this weekend! Isabella & Natalie are vacationing here in Austin with us this week. (Aunt Mimi & Uncle Marino took at trip to San Antonio for the weekend & now are back home. I bet their house is so quiet with just the 2 of them this week.)
I just LOVE my cousins! They crack me up & keep me busy from the time we wake up til we go to bed at night. Grammy, Grandpa, & Momma took us to the Austin Children's Museum on Sat morning. We ran all around & checked everything out. I hope we can go back again soon. We've also been playing at my house & backyard alot too. Momma's cousin Chris & his wife Angie & their kids (Aiden & Bryce) came over to play with all of us this afternoon. Yeah! more cousins! Maybe later this week we'll get to see even more of Momma's cousins.
This morning, we went to church & then played at the playground there. It was easier to sit in church the whole time this time since Isabella & Natalie (& Grammy) were there too. Grandpa went out of town to preach somewhere else, but he'll come home soon to play with us again.
