What I've Been Doing

I'm having fun being 21 months old. Well, in a couple more days, I'll be 22 months old. Momma says in a couple more months, I'll be a 2 year old! We're trying to decide on whether to have an Elmo or Thomas the Train theme for my birthday. I like them both! Today, we picked out my Halloween costume. Daddy tried on the "Thomas" one, & I tried on the Elmo one. (Elmo was my favorite!) Daddy & I also tried on a few Halloween wigs & got alot of laughs!

I really love going to Gymboree play class, & this week we tried out the music class. Boy, was that FUN! The cymbals were my favorite! I still love my toy guitar at home, & today at Target I had fun playing with a toy keyboard. I love music & instruments! Momma & I also like to go on long walks to the parks in the neighborhood in the mornings. And, then, we come home & do sidewalk chalk in the driveway. I'm practicing my ABC's, & I really like to do the Hokey Pokey dance too. I love to "pin" (i.e. spin) all around, & I listen to the words & follow along.

We're still having lots of fun at playgroup. All of my friends are turning 2 years old, so I'm getting to eat lots of cake & ice cream with them. My friend Diego is now a big brother to their new baby Karlo. We went to the hospital to see them last week. I'm always asking to see Diego & the baby. Grandmother & Grandpa Hicks came to visit us last Friday. We had some really good laughs together!

Oh, Momma bought me a new little potty. We're not ready to do the whole potty-training thing yet, but I was really interested in it this week. I even figured out how to use it for the 1st time too! I was so proud of myself!

Today at church, we got to sit with dogs & cats (& some kind of mouse...or hamster things) since it was the "blessing of the animals" service. I kept calling the dogs "Betsy & Riley", but we actually left our dogs at home. I took "Ellie" & "Monkey" to church, though. We also like to go to this little pizza place in our neighborhood. I like to watch them toss the pizza dough in the air & watch them make all the yummy pizzas. Oh, & I really love to watch football with Daddy. I'm learning to throw the ball up in the air, clap, & holler....just like Daddy! Love, Davis
